Classes

All courses offered at Elkins Marine Training International Center (EMTIC) is under the auspices of Managing Director, Capt. Nadeem Anwar. Capt. Anwar is a Master Mariner, the former Curriculum Manager at Fleetwood Nautical College in UK, and an established and published expert in maritime matters.

EMTIC will initially conduct:

• STCW-95 Basic Safety Training (BST) courses:
• First Aid & CPR
• Basic Fire Fighting
• Personal Survival Techniques
• Personal Safety & Social Responsibilities
• Global Maritime Distress & Safety (GMDSS) Radio courses:
• General Operators Certificate (GOC)
• Restricted Operators Certificate (ROC) 
• Boat Master courses (Specially designed Captain’s licensing courses for small boat Captains in Bahrain territorial waters)

Other short courses at our Bahrain installation will be soon added, to include a wide range of STCW-95 courses, and other maritime courses, to include:

• International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS)
  • Ship Security Officer
  • Company Security Officer
  • Port Facility Security Officer
  • Basic Security Awareness
  • Maritime Security for Military, First Responders & Law Enforcement Personnel

• Proficiency in Fast Rescue Boat

EMTIC will also continue to develop additional specialized courses as needed for the maritime sector of Bahrain and the GCC region. Enjoying the official backing of the U.S. government, EMTIC plans to work hand-in-glove with the Bahrain Coast Guard and the General Organization of Sea Ports to assist with training boat and ship operators in Bahraini waters.
